Stevenson Crane executed a plan nearly a year in the making last Saturday to set up a 770 ton crane on top of a parking garage connected to the roadways of Chicago. Through our investigation of the site early on, we were able to help identify the very specific problems with this site and came up with a plan that was so tight for the crane that it required us to install our long T-5 boom and install a configuration that only allowed a couple of feet of clearance to make the reach. Thank you to everyone from our operators to our engineers for making this a successful project. There was literally no room for error on this one!
